Review Safeman 2.0. Read the manual!

Just received my Safeman 2.0 lock. I bought it to secure my new ski's during lunch, especially my carbon poles. Carbon poles are often stolen, so it seems. Anyway. The lock with the key seemed to jam just 5 minutes after I tried it at home. At first sight, it would close normally, but the key wouldn't come out. Shortly afterwards, it seemed stuck completely, halfway. Seemed, because as it turned out, it was my own dumb mistake. See, the key is only needed to RELEASE the cable, not to close it. Without the key, just pull the cable through and it is automatically locked. No need for the key. When you want to release the cable, then you put in the key and turn it. It then releases the lock. You turn the key back and then you can remove the key. Just that simple. Again, my fault completely. To worsen things, they put it clearly in the confirmation email they sent me after ordering from their website (which I obviously didn't read). And to make it even more worse: there is a leaflet inside the blister that contains a manual. The thing is, it is so thin that I overlooked it completely. I thought it was just one of these cardboard pieces that are regularely used in blisters. The lock itself is a brillant design. Just be carefull to read the manual first 😖
